Breastfeeding misinformation

After receiving little support amidst her breastfeeding difficulties in the hospital after the birth of her first child, Leslie Ott felt as though she could do nothing more and resorted to feeding her baby infant formula after feeling threatened by the pediatrician when told that her baby would have to remain in the hospital if she did not.

Once home the situation worsened, her baby would not latch correctly and the severity of the pain in her failed breastfeeding attempts only increased. Thankfully Leslie chose to ignore the misinformation she received and set out to educate herself on all things breastfeeding resulting in successful 22 month nursing relationship.

Becoming more and more aware of how frequently women receive inaccurate information and believed in common myths surrounding breastfeeding on top of the lack of full support from their physicians, Leslie set out to increase breastfeeding awareness and show how important breastfeeding certainly is.
